FMHI AND TALBOT COUNTY MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION UNITE.

EASTON, MD (March 15, 2005)-This March Dr. Wittenberg, Medical Director of FMHI, and Mrs. Cheryl Hall, the President, spent two days on the Eastern Shore of Maryland making three different presentations. The first evening Dr, Wittenberg lectured to a group of physicians, nurse midwives and other members of the Shore Health System's staff on the use of medication in the treatment of PPD. He presented the case for Universal Depression Screening at the Grand Rounds at Easton Memorial Hospital, and that afternoon, he and Mrs. Hall gave a talk on peer support to a group of nurses and social workers under the sponsorship of Chesapeake College.

The events were the result of the efforts of the community that comprised the Mental Health Association Consortium and were directed by Tina Mills, Executive Director of the Eastern Shore Chapter.
